A trapper who works for the Mask-Taker has caged the masks of the moon pack. The moon is full. Go and hunt her. Go alone. The shape will not hold two of you. Are you [ready]?

Your form

A moonstruck werewolf. It fights at level 65, whatever your own level is. It is a fast, hard-hitting brawler, the hardest hitter of the five Kithicor shapes. - Abilities: Bloodlust, Roar of Thunder, Blood Frenzy (40% haste for a short time) - Monster Points: 16

How it plays out

"The moon is full over the mire, and you wake in the shape of a werewolf. Somewhere out there a trapper is carrying your pack's masks to the Mask-Taker."

1. Run down the trapper. "Lisbet Vane bolts with a sack of beast masks over her shoulder. Run her down before she reaches the far side of the mire." She shouts: "The masks are sold, beast. Go back to your den!" She stops along the way to slow you down: "Vane stops to throw a decoy hound onto your trail." Kill the decoy hounds or get past them, and kill Vane before she reaches the end of her run.
2. If you catch her: "Lisbet Vane goes down in the mud. The masks spill out of her sack, and one of the Hunt-Mistress's hounds whines and flees with her scent gone." The boss gets one hound fewer later.
3. If she gets away: "Tell the moon I said goodnight." Then: "Vane is gone into the dark with the masks. The Hunt-Mistress will have every hound she was promised."
4. Race to the moon altar. "A howl answers yours. Garrow Blackmane, who leads the rival pack, is running for the moon altar. Whoever reaches it first speaks for the pack." A floating "Moon altar" marker and its /loc show you where to go, and you get reminders on the way. Garrow stops now and then: "Garrow stops to howl his pack on." If you kill Garrow on the way, you still have to reach the altar.
5. If you get there first: "You reach the moon altar first and put out one of the Hunt-Mistress's silver lanterns. Garrow slinks back into the reeds." The boss fight will have three lanterns instead of four.
6. If Garrow gets there first: "Garrow reaches the altar first. 'The moon is mine tonight. Pack, take it!'" You fight Garrow and three Blackmane wolves. When they are dead: "Garrow and his pack lie still. The altar is yours."
7. Ysolde the Hunt-Mistress. She waits on the open ground beside the altar and shouts: "Another mask for the collection. Lanterns up!" Then: "Ysolde the Hunt-Mistress steps out of the reeds. 4 silver lanterns burn around the altar. Keep them lit." (3 if you won the race.)
8. When you engage her: "Two wolves of the moon pack answer your howl and run in beside you." They join the fight once you are close to her.
9. Every so often a lantern goes out: "A silver lantern goes dark. The Hunt-Mistress draws strength from the shadow." Each dark lantern keeps healing her. [hail] a dark lantern to relight it: "You knock the lantern's shutter open again. Silver light spills out."
10. At 66% health: "The Hunt-Mistress whistles. Her hounds come out of the dark." Two moonlit hounds join.
11. At 33% health: "Ysolde whistles again, harder. More hounds answer." Two more hounds, or one if you caught Vane.
12. When she dies: "Ysolde the Hunt-Mistress falls across the moon altar, and her lanterns gutter out."
13. The ending. "The moon pack's masks are back where they belong. The pack howls for you." Then: "Ysolde, with her last breath: 'Morrow will want a werewolf's mask too. He wants them all.'"

If the run fails: "The moon slides behind a cloud, and the werewolf's shape goes with it."
